CEATEC Japan is Asia's largest comprehensive IT and electronics exhibition. It attracts visitors from the IT and electronics industry as well as the automotive, energy, finance and construction sectors. Government and private industry leaders from all levels attend each year. Foreign and domestic media also cover the convention to see the latest trends and to report on where technology is going. Every year more than 170,000 visit this exposition, which is held this year in Tokyo, Japan.
The composition of vendors and exhibitors has been examined and shaped over the years as society moves toward embracing "smart" technology. This year events will include "Lifestyle & Society", "Key Technologies Stage", "IC Suite/Electronics" exhibitions, programs and more. More events, stages and exhibitions are being planned as well as promotional activities aimed at attracting stakeholders who want their business interests to expand in this area.
CEATEC Japan 2012 will take place this year on October 2 (Tuesday) and continue through October 6 (Saturday) in Makuhari Messe and Convention City Makuhari that has full-scale convention facilities that can handle the increased needs of this expanding exposition. This convention center was designed from the ground up for professionals and for long stays. It is in an ideal location, near the center of Tokyo and near the New Tokyo International Airport (Narita).
This first day of the convention will cater to management executives who are influential in the industry and will offer them a special chance to interact and network with other businesses and industry personnel. The last day will be a free admission day and is intended to give busy industry members, the public and the next generation of users and designers and a chance to interact withe the CEATEC community.
